    Shortening remembery metal temples.

I doubt there's a solution, but if there is one, Optiboard will have it.

We chose a "F_e_o_" frame from "M_r_h_n" for a guy with a noggin the size of a small musk melon, without a care in regards to the temples being adjustable.

At dispense, they stick back like two arms of a rickshaw, and we can't advance the bend, because we run out of "non-F_e_o_" adjustable metal. There's only so far that you can advance the temple.

Normally, you'd just try to cut the thin wire and file and put the temple cover back on, and voila, 140mm becomes 130mm.

Are there any "hacks" that we can employ, before going through the re-select process (which was no pleasure cruise in the first place, and probably why we settled on the frame that he "wanted")?

I assume you called M_r_h_n to see if they had a shorter temple that is available for this frame? Or one from another frame that will fit?

Also, I believe on F!#~*^ most of the frames have a portion of the end of the temple that is standard metal so that it is possible to adjust the temple ends. I don't remember how much, but it wouldn't be hard to check. If you heat it, bend it and it holds the adjustment its standard metal. Once you know how much of temple is standard metal and therefore cuttable you'll know if you'll still be able o adjust it after it's cut.

Been awhile myself since i have needed to do it, but i used to remove the temple tip, cut say 10 mm from it, then with a blowtorch i would heat the hell out of the Ti where you need to bend it - let it slowly cool.

Put temple end back on the frame.

Now you can adjust where before it would just spring back - it will not "flex" as much

I used to do this method for the same company with their children's frames. Takes about 10 minute a side.

Word of warning if you doing that tho, if you measure that 10 mm needs to come off the frame, take off only 8 mm .... easy to take more off but take to much off and your well .......
