    Overseas Eye Prescription

Needed help in translation this prescription from India as it's a different format.

    --------------------------------------------------------
    Diagnosis:
    OD H52.2: Astigmatism

    OS H52.2: Astigmatism

    Refraction: Distant Vision:

    OD: -1.25DC*180 6/6 (DC = Diopter Cylinder)

    OS: -0.50DC*180 6/9 (DC = Diopter Cylinder)

    Near Vision: N5

With that diagnosis and the way it's written I'd say it's
    +0.00 -1.25 x 180
    +0.00 -0.50 x 180

And to convert the rest to imperial:
    VA
    Distance OD: 20/20 OS 20/30
    Near OU: 20/30

    VA conversion chart Metric->imperial:

I would tell them that they're responsible for remakes, when you have to guess what the damned Rx is.

For all we know, "*" (whatever the heck that is) is "@" or "X".

I'd at least trial frame that.

    That's bull crap.

Personally i put any Rx that comes in from outside my shop in a trial frame.

Seen to many specialists just put a patient on an Auto and tell them to get that made up somewhere.

I hate remakes from outside Rx's!
