Thank you Dick,.............. for sharing this link with the nice story of the lost, and replaced glasses in the Brazilian jungle.
I have seen many such stories of opticians and optometrists, over the years, who take time off their jobs, and donate it to provide free glasses to people in remote and non serviced, poor areas of our globe.
However their reports are seldom covered and published by the big media.
I am sure that Steve would love to put their reports on OptiBoard, as they are happening and they could establish contact with the Internet.
Essilor-Luxottica has also recognized the value of commercialization of such benevolent ideas of their own, and has started to actively use and publish it.
