    PAL w/ A +0.50 Add?

Anyone know of a PAL design made down to a +.50 add? I can't think of any. (Eyezen doesn't count -- I'm looking for bonaifde PAL!) Is +.75 the lowest in the optical world?

    Why doesn't Eyezen count?

It would be the best choice imo.

Fit a wide corridor progressive low as another thought- but you are looking for something that would not be profitable to produce I imagine, with so little demand and especially with the Eyezen doing exactly what you want.

    Zeiss "Digital"

Add powers from .40 D to .65 D can be found with the various anti-fatigue designs available from many different sources.

    Hope this helps,

I'm curious why the Eyezen wouldn't work, too. Seems like the corridor of the progressive would just be a waste of lens with that little difference between the distance and near rx.

Any brand of power boost would have an appropriate strength.

Just went through this with a patient who wanted a computer lens (Tact, Workspace, etc.) which also only goes as low as +0.75. She is being restyled (if you can call it that) into a power boost. I like the Acomoda because it is a true +0.50 bump.

Luzerne's FreeFocus and SightStar365 both have +.50 adds.

All 5 of the VIA progressives by VSP start at a +0.50 add.

I would tell him/her to get some single vision or finished readers and use them for a few years until they are investing big money in glasses.
