Progressive lens design with custom inset

Does anyone know of a progressive lens that can be ordered with zero to minimal inset of the near zone?
We have a patient that is blind in one eye and her eyes do not converge very much when she reads, we'd like to get a lens that can be made with minimal inset and the corridor just drops straight down so it will be easier for her to find the near area.

Just about any free-form PAL design should allow for this customization. As long as you input near PDs, your lab should be able to make any inset you specify. If you're not sure, I'd contact your lab rep.

Thats a good idea on specifying the near-pd's, I called a couple accounts today and they were all confused by my question. I'll try again and just ask if they can make the near-pd as close to the distance pd as possible.

    Hi Alex,

We can specify a custom inset with the Autograph 2+, and probably one of the Seiko designs.

    Hope this helps,

If i'm not mistaken, the newest Shamir PAL lens allows for custom insets as well.
