Can't file exam claims at all today. We can't be the only ones, right?? Seriously wish someone could bring down some crazy scorched earth wrath upon their offices. Especially Eva's. NOBODY LIKES YOU EVA! Literally NOBODY!

you are not the only one, they do have a message on their phone line that they are aware of the problem now **** off! or vaffanculo! in Italian. No clue about italian
google translation.
EyeMed Vision Care is the second largest vision benefits company in the United States, serving approximately 47 million members in large, medium and small-sized companies, as well as government entities. EyeMed members are enrolled through employer-sponsored benefits sold directly by EyeMed or bundled with benefits offered in partnership with many of the largest and most-respected healthcare organizations in the United States. EyeMed offers the largest network of eyecare providers in the United States, including a diverse range of independent practitioners and retail locations that include Luxottica optical retail locations.

Don't worry, won't be long until they start forcing people to the retail chains they own.

Currently trying to process a Clearvision frame they are not recognizing even though it is current.
No override being allowed...
Giving them a call after someone hides all sharp objects in the office.
So, did anyone else come across the mandatory frame input?
I'm starting to see a pattern here:
Essilor lenses are cheaper for patient to buy= encouraging them to request these lenses.
Luxottica frames start coming out cheaper for patient to buy= shifting them to go with Lux instead of independent lines.
Conspiracy theory? OR truth!
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?
I think it may be a security issue- They're asking us to block pop up's and clear cookies to submit exams.
Still can't get my glasses orders to go through without hitting a block as frame not in a recognized collection.
Need a more computer savvy person in the office than me to help me in the am.
Well, yesterday seemed to be better for a short while.
Now, this morning, the entire site is dead. Can't even log in at all.
Seriously - this is insane.
So incredibly happy that we dropped Eyemed.
Every *smart* practices dream. I've worked for a precious few of them over the years, and it was awesome. Sadly, the current employer is one of the "insurance" Kool Aid connoisseurs. Even their phone reps are in the dark today, apparently. Maybe somebody shot Eva? (YAY!)
Did eyemed get sucked into a black hole? I just tried to call provider relations and I got a "this number is not in service" recorded message.
I did actually have that thought as well. At least when the claims submission part of the site went tits up. But for the entire site to crash to the point even the CSRs couldn't do anything - that's got to be a much larger problem for them. I hope any potential gains they made sitting on our money were eaten up today. Probably not though...

I think they're trying to "upgrade" (aren't they all called this!) the system to recognize all Frames Data listed frames first. I'm going to guess they own Frames Data too these days.
The workaround to enter a less recognized line involves going into Vision Web- copying the order number and then plugging it into Eye Med under Claims. Otherwise the dreaded yellow shows up and leaves you dead in the water.
Submitting claims seems to be working better so I think that gremlin got fixed.
We haven't been able to get a claim submitted at all today. UGH!
Yep, tried that already... It's working intermittently now. If we have trouble submitting a job, we wait 45 minutes and try again.
If you get locked into finding a frame that isn't in their database (we had a Tom Ford for example that we couldn't look up,) we just select the House Brands option and type in whatever info we can from there. We figured this out only after calling Eyemed up and asking what we could do for these frames, and their answer was to file a paper claim! Sorry y'all but I have literally anything else to do with my time than that.
I have yet to have a single frame turn out to be in their database.
My favorite have been the jobs I've had today where I entered all the exam, lens, and frame information only to click SUBMIT and have nothing happen at all.
