Vision To Learn is a non-profit organization that provides free eye exams and free glasses to students in low-income communities to give them every chance to succeed in school and in life. The program was founded in Los Angeles in 2012 and has since expanded to schools throughout areas of California, Delaware, Michigan, Mississippi, Virginia, Georgia, Iowa, New Jersey and Hawaii. About 15% of children in low-income communities lack the glasses they need to see the board, read a book, study math or participate in class. Vision To Learn strives to reduce this number and partners with school districts to provide eye exams to children in low-income communities with unmet needs for glasses.

Position Description
Vision to Learn is seeking multiple qualified candidates for a California-licensed optometrist. Available for Pomona, Los Angeles, San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, and San Francisco. The positions are available both part-time and full-time.


Qualifications

• Successful track record of working with children
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must pass Department of Justice background check (LiveScan) and drug test
• Experience using Electronic Medical Records database systems.
