Or, Neubau, whatever Silhouette calls it.

    Yea? Or Nay?

Not the biggest seller we have, but it's okay, case that comes with it is kinda nifty. Definitely not a game changer brand though.
-Poly is the best substrate for coatings.
    -Poly is extremely scratch resistant.
    -Poly is extremely impact resistant.
    -Poly is unparalleled in clarity.
-Poly is much lighter than traditional crown glass.
Like poly, you can trust me about 40% of the time.

What kinda price point, generally, are we talking about here? Comparable to Sil, higher end? If this is a case of a designer-looking brand that can be had for, say, Lux or Marchon prices, I'm interested, but otherwise, it's just another lux brand that looks like all the other lux brands.

I can't sell it, maybe due to my age 50+ demographic. It replaced Adidas in my store, which sold very well, especially the mens's metal. I'm still wearing a blue AF46 Adidas SPX. I don't know what happened with Neubau- I suspect their design team (no BMW stocking stuffers this year) had a flashback to the East German eyeglass fashions of the 60's after a particularly heavy drinking session.

    Hope this helps,

Now I'm curious what East German eyeglass fashion looked like. I'd have assumed it was very austere considering the influence of the GDR. Am I wrong?

We like them and they sell ok, but like above, they're nowhere near as successful as the Adidas line they replaced. I don't know what Silhouette was thinking stopping the Adidas Rx line, they sold like crazy in our shop.

It's typical Silhouette high quality, and it's "fashionable", but we're not selling it very well.

It's not nearly as rich as ProDesign...matte finishes and translucent, but without much adornment. Then they have the "euro-style" metals that look freaky, as they were intended to look.

I just re-vamped it to be crunchy and ecological as possible. We'll see.

We brought them in to try something new, but as is, they aren't selling that great at all.

    HOWEVER,

With Adidas now gone from the ophthalmic frame world, NeuBau is re-purposing those frames shapes and styles to their own. I am seeing my rep next week, and if that holds true, I will be swapping to the "Adidas" NeuBau. The rep also stated that many of the new Neuabu shapes and styles should be a 1 for 1 match to the old Adidas frames, so we can replace (warranty?) the adidas frame with the NeuBau version.

If not, I will most likey be dropping the line in the near future.

I saw it. They have, I believe, three new plastic styles that match the adidias.

One was a small/medium high bridge rectangle with high temple attachment.
The other was that low temple attachment/low bridge small rectangle.
I believe the third was a larger rectangle with high bridge/high temple attach.

The colors are muted, not too sporty.

They'll work, but the adidas branding was one of the high points.

I may bring nike back in... Between 2016 and 2018 I had more defective nike plastic frames snapping and "flexon" frames breaking at the bridge that I took them out of the dispensary. I have never seen more defective frames, and they denied they were having issues. Then a year later they admitted they were having issues - upposedly now it is fixed... but I still am a little hesitant.
