Question for you mobile opticians out there

I'm looking to start my own mobile practice. I've begun acquiring tools, I've got my Opticianry License, but I'm having trouble with my state board, as they're telling me that the optical establishment permit must be linked to a physical address, and that it cannot be a mobile one. I've pressed for more information, as there is a charitable mobile lab in my area, but they're not giving me anything. Any ideas or tips on how I might be able to get past this roadblock without having a brick and mortar location?

I'm in Florida, which is a licensed state, and I've seen that there are mobile opticians in both licensed and unlicensed states. Some of those states seem to have the same rules we do, and others I haven't been able to location information on the rules of optical establishments.

    I greatly appreciate any input.

Probably your home address, or the address that you used for your seller's permit, taxes, etc.

You'll make many friends making house calls for seniors. Good luck with your venture.

Had three mobile vision vans serving industrial accounts on the road in New England back a few years ago. Use your postal address as Robert suggested.

Great idea! You can also do a special day at the local nursing homes. Good luck!

Put in an edger and a FastGrind and not have to make a return trip.
