    Hilco OG-220 Safety Frame

What's the deal with these nosepieces?

They may look and feel comfortable, but they MELT. And construction guys in the summer prefer their eyewear doesn't melt to their face.

Has anyone found a suitable non-disintegrating nosepiece replacement?

I have seen a few of them melt. The OG-225, has a different nose piece, that gets shipped with a spare, I have not had any issue with those. I just checked to see if they are interchangeable and they are. OG-225 has 3 sizes, the 61 & 57 bridge fits the 58 OG-220 and the OG-225 55 fits the OG-220 55.

Good to know! We do a lot with the Hilco safeties and that has always been a downside to the 220 (which is, of course, the best seller.)
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?

The only thing I can think of is the Titmus (Honeywell) SW06 (or the SW06E, same frame different colors) http://www.titmus.com/swrx/uvex-rx-s...tsswrxsw06.htm

We use this frame for all the electricians who come here and need metal free safety frames, but I got a ton of requests both for clear frames and for the OG220 specifically.

The problem with the SW06 is the pads don't melt...they fall out!
