INTELLIGENT TECHNOLOGY™ TO CONTACT LENS WEARERS

    (Charenton-le-Pont, France, 11 April 2018)

    – Transitions Optical has partnered with Johnson & Johnson Vision to make the leading light-adaptive photochromic technology available in a contact lens for the first time. Acuvue Oasys® with Transitions® Light Intelligent Technologyexpands the photochromic category beyond ophthalmic lenses, broadening access to the life-enhancing benefits of light management.
A range of everyday lighting situations, from artificial light to UV rays, can negatively impact eye comfort, vision and health.

Acuvue Oasys® with Transitions® Light Intelligent Technology is a first of its kind contact lens, providing wearers with vision correction and a dynamic photochromic filter that helps to continuously balance the amount of light entering the eye. This contact lens quickly adjusts from clear to dark in response to changing sunlight conditions; reducing exposure to bright light indoors and outdoors, including filtering blue light and blocking UV rays.

Yeah congrats Transitions and J&J - you've created yet another lens that no patient will throw away. I can see the patient's thought bubble now, "well, I know this lens is a month old, but it feels good and I see well, and it tints darker in the sunlight, and it's more expensive than my regular Acuvue lenses.......I think I'll wear it until it hurts."

I just had to watch this 4 times in a row because everyone kept coming over to see what was so funny!

I love this comment from Acuvue:

    ACUVUE® Brand1 month ago

"We know the “undead” look is so hot right now – but our newACUVUE® contacts will take on light without the Zombie look."

    Thanks for sharing!
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?
