Clear Coat recommendation needed for 3D printed frames

Greetings, I've been 3D printing some frames you can download from glassesusa.com/3D. I'm printing them with a PA 12 (Nylon 12) MultiJet Fusion powder based system from HP. The frames come out a nice satin matte black finish and can be polished or tumble finished to a semi-gloss. I'm looking for a clear coat spray paint or dip coating to apply. Is there any "skin contact" safe material that is commonly used for this application?

What about shellac? There are food-grade types of that.
