I gotta try it at least once. Hold your glasses lenses between your phone and computer screen and it neutralizes them I assume.

Just did it to see how it works. First pic is the prescription from the optometrist I work with and currently wearing in my glasses. Second picture is what the app got.

I'm surprised how close it is! How is the PD? Just curious. I would have thought that the vertex would make the script off. Did it specify how far away to hold the specs?

Uh, it's only a -3.00 lens. Vertex is not as big an issue. But it is big enough, in this case. That right eye is going to be a treat!

Just wait till mommy buys those back up glasses for Katy. That's some good customer service, right there.

    My PD is 71.

As far as distance, it didnt say exactly how far in terms of actual distance. After matching your phone with your computer, you basically have to hold your glasses in between your computer screen and phone while focusing on a target on the computer screen. it then will ask you to slowly tilt your glasses back and forth.

It didnt cost me anything to do it, so figure I give it a try. As drk had mentioned, it did miss my right eye on the axis and PD was 2 mm off of the total.

I would be interested to see what happens with different power ranges. It also mentioned if you wear bifocals, progressives or have prism, you should not use this. Wonder what the results would look like if someone with a +3.00 add progressive of 5.0 BO prism used this?

There are only 60 of them and 20 belong to Essilor and Lux.

Blue Jumper This service is FDA-listed and registered as a Class 1 Exempt Medical Device.........

Update: To clarify the legality of this tool, we reached out to GlassesUSA.com. According to a company rep, "This service is FDA-listed and registered as a Class 1 Exempt Medical Device on the FDA Medical Device Listings. It does not provide medical advice, nor does it replace a comprehensive eye health exam by an eye care professional."

....................and they claim that they have a FDA registration

They say class 1 Exempt because glasses are not regulated by the FDA

I checked it out on their (FDA) website and found no "eyeglasses" nor classification requirements, to be listed. as of: Page Last Updated: 05/14/2018
