smh.......
Erik Zuniga, ABOC.
They've been selling these Foster Grants at the CVS near my house for at least 3 years, fwiw.
Also about 6 years ago Imagewear came out with a bunch of these type of "readers". We never bought any.
Yup. Seen them in curve tops and flat tops, but not in pals
I've met a few people who liked (the price) of those Foster Grant Office Readers or whatever they are called, the employees here that tried the Imagewear version years ago almost threw up wearing them.
We all know enough to know that these probably have about a 30% chance of working at best, and by working I mean ... well don't give you an immediate headache I guess.
I disagree. Me saying one out of three people who try the variable focus foster grants on at the CVS by me (I have seen MANY people try them on and I go there a lot) actually like them is probably being generous. The regular readers foster grant makes there are grabbed and purchased constantly, very rarely do I see the variablesl focus ones being picked up and purchased. I stand by my numbers and the area of my body I pulled them out of.
All I'm saying is these are not a new product. So if the entirety of optiboard is treating them like they are because they are not prevelant enough to be well known, and I've seen them for 4 years minimum, collecting dust. And I've seen Imagewear try the same thing and retract the line I would assume this is Foster selling old stock to get rid of it.

You are missing my point. Of course foster grant is well known, as far as drugstore readers they are the highest quality. What we are talking about here are these near variable focus glasses they make. They are a product I have seen for over 4 years, yet are not widely, distributed nor purchased by the public. If these foster grant variable lenses were such hot stuff then I wouldn't be the only one on Optiboard who has seen them before, especially when FG has been makint them for many years. They stink and people don't buy them. The actual FG readers? Well of course they sell.
