    Price Tag Labels

How do you handle price tags on your frames? Ours are plastic and the temple slips through the tag. They constantly fall off and the tags crack and break apart. I'd love some good recommendations

    2 possible solutions:

use a tag with a coated metal wire,

or use one with a sticker, you can remove with some alcohol.

We use plastic tags that have 2 slots on each side. The temple gets woven through and they stay on really well. After a few uses, the plastic does stretch, but we flip it and weave it around the other way. They hold up and stay on well. After a couple of years of putting on a label and peeling it off they do tend to get yucky and sometimes they do break. So we buy another box and ditch the yucky ones. So what... a box is around $70 or so for 3 years? Not too bad.

I have used this Arch Crown tag for years, they have to be cut off. I also got very tired of the slip on tag coming off, or having someone switch them!

We also use Arch Crown. The metallic sticky 'security' tags. They don't move at all- so be sure you put them on in a place that doesn't hit the ear when the frames are tried on. These are not reusable but are a good price.

I use such labels. Fits well for most all frames, exept some sunglasses.

I use ones that are smaller. The tag doesn't hang down and they make larger tapered versions for sunglasses.

We just write the price in the upper right hand corner of the demo lens. Patient's like being able to see the price easily. We also put the date we put it in inventory in month and year format. So, we'd write August 17 as 817 or November as 1117. It makes it super easy when frame reps come in to pull stuff that's been sitting too long. It cleans off easily if you need to change it for some reason, but we usually just toss the demos.

We use small Avery Jewelry tags that hang from a string. They are under $2 for 100.
