Question Edging... trivex polished lenses won't resize

If I'm posting this in the wrong forum please tell me. I have an LE7070 edger that we've been using for about 6 years. In the last year or so it has developed an issue. When cutting and polishing trivex or 1.67 lenses it cuts the lens too big and it doesn't appear to resize much. It only appears to do this when polishing. This edger normally has to resize .10mm to .35mm for poly and cr-39. For 1.67 it's usually .70 to 1.2mm. I just did a trivex and checked it with calipers. Even set on 1.3mm it hadn't cut the lens any smaller than it did for the original cut.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

I would try cleaning the wheels with a brass bristle brush on the wheel dressing mode (with water) I bet they are gunked up with hi index and trivex and aren't cutting aggressively enough - or your wheels are just worn down completely.

Thank for the reply Tallboy. I did that last week and it didn't help. Any other ideas?

This was one of my problems with the LE9000 and trivex, and I'm sure it applies to the 7070 - the trivex program is a modified poly program so I would have to change differentials and polish levels for poly when polishing trivex, for regular fining I just had a set amount I would bump the lens size up by for trivex. The LEX-1200 is much much better, I am enjoying it.

When was the last time you changed out your wheels Midoco?

How do you do this? My 9000SX has never cut Trrivex well and sometimes doesn't resize POLY well as the original post stated.
