Confused In Need of a Lenticular Lens

I have an associate who is sitting for her Practical Exam in June. She has very little experience with reading the Lenticular lens design. I would think most newer opticians from within the last 5-10 years have had little or no exposure to them. Does anyone have or know where I could find such an artifact? I took my practical exam a little over 15 years ago and I can count on one hand how many Lenticular lenses I’ve seen since. Hell, I don’t even know how accurately I would be able to neutralize a Lenticular at this point. Aren’t they pretty much obsolete now with cataract surgery being so mainstream? I would appreciate what ever assistance anyone can offer with locating a Lenticular Lens.

Lenticular lenses are still widely used in low vision and pediatric patients. Yes early application was for post cataract patients.

I stand corrected, thank you for the clarification. I work for a chain so very rarely do I ever see anything interesting like slab offs, Lenticular lenses or super high prism. I’m sure private practices and Ophthalmology offices see much more of these. If you have any cast-offs or rejections that are Lenticular we could really use them for practice! Thanks!

Read like any other ophthalmic lens, but be careful that the lens is not tilted against the lens stop. You might have to remove the lens for very small zyl frames, common with kids and babies.

If there's a sink in or near the testing room, wash your hands before starting the exam.

    Hope this helps,

If it has an add, make sure to turn the lens around to ckeck the add power. As per ANSI.
