    davis vision possible solution

We, in Georgia, have Georgia contracts with Spectera and Eyemed even though our reimbusements are lower. The non hassle aspect
of the ability of using our own lab, processing jobs in house etc. is worth it to us. It just dawned on us that we can do the same with Davis Vision and be done
with all of their nonsense. We are in the process of checking now..It appears that the Georgia contract applies to all like insurance
    companies.

I don't understand what you mean by "Georgia contract." Can you elaborate?

depending on what state you are in....there is an option to have a state contract separate from spectera, eyemed, and we've found out davis vision..an od
in Georgia initiated a lawsuit stating that an insurance company cannot force an optical company to be "held captive" to their frames, labs etc..that there has
to be freedom of choice so to speak.....thus we have a "Georgia contract" with spectera and eyemed..and soon to be davis vision...our reimbursement levels are somewhat lower
but the advantages certainly offset this

To reach a live person at Eye Med all you have to do is this:

    1-888-581-3648
    At prompt
------say Provider and then pick one of the following 4 choices.

    1) member eligibility
    2) New authorization
    3) Void authorization
    4) Claims

Pick one and prepare to spend 3 minutes answering at prompts
Have the members (or anyone's for that matter) DOB or last 4 of SSI handy along with zip code

    I picked "member eligibility"

    confirm your office

    Give just your street address

    confirm your address

follow prompt to speak then spell patient first name then last name

Give SSI or say "I don't have it"

Say then spell first then last naname

give DOB use singlee digits only and zip code

    multiple plans? Press 1

    Say Eye Exam

    Say Help with something else

    Say Customer service

Just 4 minutes if there's no wait until someone comes on the line!
When I questioned if there was a faster way to reach someone I was politely told no.

There- Now was that so hard???

I am with a lab ,MY Friends Lab , so if we can offer you a free form pal with AR and great Visual acuity at a fair price I can sell it to you and you can use it for your 3rd party work, without being taken off the panels ?

I can share with you how there will be no insurance companies to deal with. PS: eyemed, davis etc are not insurance companies.
