Yeah Ive done that with one of the IOT digital O segs, or rather ordered one and had it done.
I've also heard of doing a traditional frontside pal with a digital o seg on the top, but never had occasion to use one
Ow, my brain hurts trying to imagine wearing something like that!
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?
Yikes! I can not envision (pun intended) any situation where this would be an effective solution to anyone's visual needs.
lol at Dick... yeah i shook my head as I was mapping this out in my head. i could see a double blended maybe... but its a work tool... id rather have a ft and have it wide to more FOV
Some things are better left alone.
You are all correct its a bad idea.
Chris should be thrilled we are all so pro flat-top in this situation! See, we aren't brainwashed

Once upon a time there was the the Varilux Overview(p.12). It's been discontinued for a long time now but can be replicated by something like what Tallboy suggested. Unless I'm forgetting something obvious, I don't know why you couldn't take a traditional frontside seg, round or flat top, flip it upside down and put a backside FF pal on it.
that is a great idea!
This pt a pilot or something?

I have made many of them. Conventional progressive on the bottom a digital round seg on top, easy to make...
