    Optifog Lenses by Essilor

Has anyone had any experience with Essilor's Optifog lenses? How well do they actually work? What has been the customer feedback on those lenses? Thanks!

In my opinion they are great. I have an old version in which I have to reapply the special liquid every week.

    Best wishes, Emma

Do you find them more difficult to clean than other versions of Crizal?

Yes harder to clean than the rest of the Crizal family, but the anti-fogging works perfectly.

Yes, I saw a technical brochure years ago.

the special surface of optifog and similar lenses is more porous... so the condensation dissipates but this surface it is less smut and hydrophobic.

I hate this :D I prefer standard coating

You and me both. It was this reason that they pulled the ads from the American football tv season a few years ago.
Or so I heard. I'll take cleanability and long lasting effects over anti fog any day. 1 farm vet and 1 OR surgeon and about 3 young pre contact lens hockey players are the only ones I've sold them too. I guess even King Essilor isn't infallible.

    Dilly Dilly.

Edit: the young hocky players were not optifog actually, a non ar fog choice, at my discretion.
