I wouldn't bother screwing around with a home brew solution. We always used Liquinox and never had any problems.

A little bit of "Dawn" dish soap(experiment with your water conditions), drops of, diluted in water. Enough to cut through the toughest nosecheeze and foundation residue.

I have never understood how anyone could end up with a 3 mm. buildup of liquid solid makeup on the skin side of a nosepad, enough to raise a bifocal to a uncomfortable height.

    Sigh.

uncut is dead on....Dawn works great, save your money for something your going to often replace.

Remember, for every 3mm of caked on makeup you must add 30 degrees of panto to each temple.

We use any grease-busting cheap dishwashing liquid we can find. And I never put lenses in, only frames.
