    Yep. They're going through their annual "we just crapped ourselves again" phase. Which conveniently happens *every* year at this time. Doubly convenient for EyeMed if clients don't/can't use their benefits before they expire at year's end. CHA CHING! Money in the bank for them. YAY managed care!

    And here we sit, happily enabling them to run roughshod over the optical industry with a big, stupid grin on our faces, basking in the glow of the mere pennies on the dollar we so happily accept as the price we "must" pay to get patients in the door! LOL

    Hey new to the site today and would like to say- I'm devoting a good minute or two of my life to making Eyemed regret ever become an insurance company(I use that term in the very loosest of ways). I'm sue I'm not the first to fit and dispense lenses to ******** patients only to realize that they've taken back more in charge backs then they had us collect. Anyone have any advise. I have spoken to a few of their very unhappy employees who simply never call back.

    Got your reply and here's your mantra regarding quality of cheap frames to the patient ---

    "Like so many things we buy in life you have 3 choices:
    1) Quality
    2) Service
    3) Price

    Now pick one or two of the choices as you cannot have all 3!"

    I find virtually everyone understands this and the line of metals I pm'd you about are surprisingly durable and inexpensive enough to back up with out much cost to you.

    My coworker and I were just saying that we hate Eyemed. Just found out that they removed the part on their website that told us the patient has Eyemed but we don't participate. Then there's the whole mess with the Tricare stuff. My coworker is our biller and she is loosing her mind!
