There is a basket clause at the end of every College list of rules and regs. It says is intended to cover activities/behaviours not listed in the preceeding list of rules. For optometry, the language is as follows:
"(the member) engaged in conduct or performed an act that, having regard to all the circumstances , would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable, unprofessional or unethical,"
You'll notice that in the vast majority of discipline judgements made against health professionals, the basket clause is almost always identified as having been violated. In other words, if you did something wrong, you probably also violated the basket clause because you acted dishonourably.
The POTUS is considered the leader of the free world. He is the American face to the world. He has bragged about "grabbing them by the pussy". If such behaviour is tolerated in a U.S. President, then it should be argued that less pristine conduct should be permitted by those in the professional class.
