Is it possible to hide eye movement with contact lenses?

    Hello folks,

Let's imagine that we don't want other person to notice if we move our eyes or not. We could use glasses with printed eyes which is normally used to have fun in carnivals but that would not be discrete, which is essential.

I guess the best solution could potentially be the use of a kind of contact lenses that somehow are fixed in position and only let the light enter the eye through a very small hole.

I am wondering if something like that already exists in the market.

Hopefully this great community could be of help.

    Thanks for your time folks.

If the aperture is a part of the lens, and the lens is fixed, what would be the purpose? You won't be able to gaze anywhere but through the middle (where the hole is) and see because the rest of the lens is opaque.

Try not to roll your eyes when interacting with customers or having technical conversations with colleagues. This also goes for those for face palms and shoulder shrugs.

Yes it must be part of the lens. The purpose is hidding the eye movement as I said in the title.

The issue of a limited field of vision is secondary.

The question is, Is it possible? I was thinking if there is any company that can print a contact lense with a copy of my real eyes so the lenses look as real as possible. Have you ever heard something like that?

What do you mean by practically? Does that mean that it is possible theoretically?

I explained the purpose on the title!

In theory, sure it's probably possible. I would consider what you're looking for more of a prosthetic. In practice, this lens would have to cover ALL of the anterior portion of the eye, as far north and south as each fornix and as far east and west as the caruncle and canthus. Good luck getting it in.

That looks so interesting, I appreciate this answer.

    Really, thanks.

You were actually rather unclear as to the actual purpose of such a prosthetic. Why *exactly* are you not wanting people to view your direction of gaze?

Perhaps things are done differently in Spain - but when your first post to an American based public board, with a screen name of PREDATOR, asking about such a device, it leans towards having very unsavory connotations. Surely you can understand. Of course, if you truly are on the up and up, you wouldn't mind in the least explaining the desire you have to use such a covert capability with much greater clarity. You have yet to do so. This is your opportunity - please take it.

hahaha this was so funny I mean when you mention my predator name.

That is just because I am a fan of Arnold and his film, nothing to do with the eyes.

I suffer saccadic movements and I want to hide them, no one is going to die I promise.

You could get the black ink injections in your sclera and wear black contacts. That would make it impossible to track the eye's movement. Just don't let an amateur get too close with that needle. (There is a related post about this going horribly wrong!)
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?

Do you think I can pass a job interview with my eyes fully black?

If you apply to Hot Topic.

If you are looking for a way to do this without ANYONE being able to tell, I think you are looking for something not available. Maybe check with suppliers for secret agents?

The cosmetic effect you desire might be better disguised by a mildly tinted lens, layered with a gentle mirror.

Very popular, and effective at shielding hangovers, or dilated pupils!

That's something a consumer would ask, not someone who works in an optical laboratory.
