    Interactive storefront window ?

    Hi everyone,

Does anyone use this kind of technology ? : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRpE0D1YjeQ

My son is thinking of purchasing one but we don't if it would really be helpful...

    Isn't that just a gadget ?

Will it really drag customers in ?

we don't have the big one like that. We have a smaller unit that is in either our waiting rooms or our dispensary. Honestly, I am not impressed, ours is a bit laggy, not anywhere near as quick as the video, and we have a fast internet connection so its not an internet issue. You have to maintain the frame catalog yourself. You can add the brands you carry. The bad thing is that if a frame is discontinued it is not automatically pulled from the catalog, you have to go in and delete it from your individual catalog.
Honest opinion, its a toy, I don't see it as a draw in our practices. In a mall setting it might be different, but not in a more traditional office setting like we have.

I spoke to them about the store front one. They are based in Paris, but I was told they are in the process of opening an office in Florida. If I remember correctly it runs $6000 for a 3 year lease, this includes updates. I am in a strip center, but in a smallish town. It would attract attention for I think about 3 months, but then the same people would be seeing it every day, and the thrill would be gone.

Malls are dying, so I guess a location in an Avenue type location would be best. I think the tech is ultra cool!

it is really cool, we got ours when they first came to the US, once again not the window one, but same company, all tech support was phone calls to France! They have gotten better with software upgrades but the reality is they are still at more of the Gimmick stage than a sales tool. At least in my opinion.
