    Take PD with autorefractor

I'm in the "business" from few months... I'm a student also.

I notice that sometimes OMD write the PD on the prescription (taken by autoref)
Why is often a wrong value??

I notice also that when I take a PD patient with autorefractor it is wrong (usually too large)

what am I doing wrong with the autoref?????

So I always check marking the frame with a felt tip pen and re-check with the "pd meter"

I never trust an autorefractor PD. I always use Pupilometer...more accurate.

the PD an autorefractor tosses out is just a made up number, pay no attention.
-Poly is the best substrate for coatings.
    -Poly is extremely scratch resistant.
    -Poly is extremely impact resistant.
    -Poly is unparalleled in clarity.
-Poly is much lighter than traditional crown glass.
Like poly, you can trust me about 40% of the time.

I wouldn't go that far, but I definitely would use a PD taken by a good optician above an autorefractor every time.
