Historians, psychologists and sociologists 100 years from now will look back at the hive mend / mob mentality of the internet as a one of the most profound factors in the things that occur in our society from now until then. From school kids to politicians to scientists it is pervasively affecting things in a way we have never seen. There is so much more access to information these days its amazing, I've learned so much in the last 5 years, but there is also so much more mis information and ability to validate false opinions via confirmation bias and selective internet browsing.

Tallboy, I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing this.

I think we are headed for "virtual reality", and you can choose which reality you want to live in.

Which one would be right for you?

    Tallboy, you are so right.

This is also a reason why a place like Optiboard should stay alive by support of its members and guests, by searching and giving professional information on a international basis.

In my perfect reality people would read books. Anyone can post on the internet. Takes a lot more effort to publish a book. My thoughts are that the internet should be one of many resources opposed to the only.
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?

Your thoughts a correct but the general public thinks different, when I see them looking at their cell phones even in the toilet, they can not be without anymore.

We just have to accept the ways the majority of humanity is functioning as time changes.
