    Confused Vision Screening Course

I've been considering taking a vision screening course, so that I can take more volunteer opportunities, as well as do school screenings to drive extra traffic to my store.

Are there any vision screeners here? any tips or advice would be appreciated.

I'm in AB, and I believe NAIT offers a short vision screening course.

Is it worth it? to get the training, and make offers to schools/care homes as a tool to drive sales? Or am I horribly misguided?
-Poly is the best substrate for coatings.
    -Poly is extremely scratch resistant.
    -Poly is extremely impact resistant.
    -Poly is unparalleled in clarity.
-Poly is much lighter than traditional crown glass.
Like poly, you can trust me about 40% of the time.

I don't know about Canada but in the US you would raise holy hell with the local school boards, teachers and school nurses union and every optometrist within a hundred miles.

I think all schools should be interrupted by people who are trying to drive sales.

    Just get a quick course.

I think school should also be interrupted by shoe salesmen. They could measure for the need for arch supports. Would drive their business, as well.

I think school should be interrupted by jeans companies. They could measure the fit of the kids' jeans, and give them a flyer to head to their store.

I think the idea of bothering innocent kids while they're trying to get educated in order to "drive sales" is a really noble idea.

Innovative, community-minded and volunteerism. Look into Rotary and Lions for real community and international volunteerism.
I have been a Rotary member for 9 yrs. We do community-based projects, events, and fundraising (fun) stuff. We have funded an eye clinic in India, Bicycle distribution in Cambodia, sanitation, and clean water programs all over.
My community would look a whole lot different without volunteers. Heat Bank. The food hub, 4c's (like a Sallyanne) Good start breakfast at school.

You don't require a course nor a qualification to operate a vision screener; just need to know how to interpret the information.

As for a way to drive traffic to your store, hiring a student to stand out front and wear a sandwich board would be more effective.

Check with Essilor that just trained 2,000 young people to do that in India.

Maybe they plan to do it also in North America,
