Did the hurricanes season affect your sales ......................................

** Analysts expect the hurricanes that hit the U.S.in Sept to weigh on Luxottica and Essilor's Q3 sales (due on Oct. 23and Oct. 24, respectively)


** French lens maker Essilor and Italian Eyewear maker Luxottica, both global leaders in their respective sectors,agreed on Jan. 16 to a 46 billion euro merger


** Raymond James estimates N.America accounts for 57 pct of Luxottica and 49 pct of Essilor 2017-end sales


** The broker expects U.S. hurricanes will have a negative impact of 250+ bps on Essilor and Luxottica on 2017 North American sales and adds cos might be "somewhat challenged" to meet their FY guidance

Typically we loose around $15,000 the week of the hurricane, and takes a couple of weeks to return to normal sales levels. So in total north of $20K.

I wonder how that compares to snow here. I don't have the numbers, but I know that since our clients are mostly older, they tend to cancel or no show when we get snow. The worst is when they no show and then tell us "I told you when I scheduled back in June that I would come unless it snows"
