what are the consequences, if any of using an aspheric lens with a spherical lens?

Hi Kevin. Depending on the P value of the aspheric design and the Rx, we'll usually see two different base curves, up to about 2 D, resulting in image size disparity. One could use a flatter than best form base curve on the spherical lens to compensate, but that lens will have more marginal astigmatism. I'd need to have a good reason to proceed this way, possibly due to existing anisometropia, aniseikonia, low vision, safety, etc.

    Hope this helps,

hello. i want to know if aspheric lens (hoya nulux eynoa 1.67) whether focal point changes can be made in RX? (for diameter purposes)
      thank you
