    Double sphere method

I am learning the double sphere method. If I have plano@ 45, +1.00@ 135 and take into account my working distance, what would the Rx be? I have also drawn this out on a power cross, but I am missing something. (+2.50 sphere?)
-1.50+1.00X135. Distance traveled from PL to +1.50=-1.50sphere.

    Plano X135 & - 0.50X45(resolved from power cross )
Plano seems to be your sphere power since it seems to be greater than - 0.50(mathematically) or zero is of a lesser negative or not even negative at all than - 0.50(is better nobody owes you at all than to owe you 0.50) , so now to get the cyl power =-0. 50-plano =-0.50 =your cyl power. To get your cyl axis, always take the axis of the other not the one that comes with your sphere power =135
So here's what I feel you'll have as your overall RX = Plano-0.50X45

You're almost correct, just that to get your cyl power Plano - (+1.00)=-1.00,so your cyl power is - 1.00 not +1.00
I apologize for my previous response, I subtracted the working distance even before getting the cyl power. The working distance subtraction should actually be the last step.
