OMS OptoChemicals Closed. I need superhydrophobic solution. WHERE?

    Dear! Opticians.

OMS OptoChemicals Have been closed for good. What the Hell!

I need superhydrophobic coating. which works.
I have used Mirage from Satisloh and that is just waste of money.

After Antiglare from SP200 (garbage Machine, please don't ever buy it) I usually dip the lenses in to Superhydrophobic from OMS and that works ok and that is the only coating I have seen which works and If any one knows how to get the lenses with a great Superhydrophobic coating with olephobic PLEASE AND PLEASE tell me.

My expectatioins are close to trioEC from essilor, I know with dip solutions I won't be able to get that far but I wants to get close to those coatings.

It seems so hard to find a solutions for this matter. I hope some one out there in our GALAXY knows the secret.

    Thank you.
    Manny

OMS advised last May, all regular customers of the closure by the end of August, and everybody with any use for the products, stocked up during the following 3 months.

The prediction is, that most of the products should be back on the market in a few months from now, just made in a different location.

Now that the cat is out of the bag ....................

Eight years ago when I sold my 3 unit industrial building and stayed on
for 3 years, the new owners tried to up the rent and I moved out to one block away and signed a lease for 5 years, which was up at the end of August, 30 days ago.

We worked hard to fill all the unexpected orders from all of our regular customers, distributors, plus the large industrial users, on a worldwide basis, which include the largest automotive instrument makers, as well as surgical facemasks in another field.

So now that my professional career has come to an end, once all the rest has been done, in my own home office, I can become like my friend Dick Baker and worry about the flowers and the squirrels in the garden.

Thank you Warren, I really appreciate the nice words from you.

By retiring I do not mean I will start rotting away, as many members of the older generation practice when they get to that stage in their life.

I always wanted to write my book about the real life story of a well schooled optician that went into wholesale frame optical, laboratory business and finally also coming up with special lens treatments to make a living.

Optiboard has always been a favorite of mine and will stick around as long as I can. So I am not a goner yet.
