    Zeiss Duravision Platinum coating

    Hello all,
Not sure if it's just me. But does anyone notice the DVP coating doesn't come with the deep blue residual color anymore? The blue used to be very unnoticeable, now it's lighter in tone and a little bit more pronounced. Should I talk to the lab? I have noticed it for the past 2 weeks with our Zeiss orders.

I stopped ordering DVP because the colour of the blue seemed too blue. It was a deeper blue but seemed more pronounced like a "blue light" coating. As a result we went back to DVS since it seems to be less prominent.

Sapphire has done the same thing over time. Used to be a nice deep cobalt blue color cast, with very little reflection at all. Now, though it's almost turquoise, with a much more visible reflex, and often lenses will come back mismatched. Sad really for their "premiere" AR process...

I have never seen what you're describing. I'll have to take a closer look.

That's quite sad because I really like the old deep blue of DVP. DVS is not an option here, at least from our lab. We kinda "stop" offering sapphire because of long turn around time.
