    LE9000 SX Polishing wheel

    Hi Guys,

My polishing wheel on my Le9000sx had a small crack and then it disintegrated. I asked Santinelli if they sold the polishing wheel and they said no, but they said they sell the whole set for $3000 and then I need a Tech to install it.

I called one company online and they wanted 312 for the polishing wheel and 268 for the finish wheel. She advised me to change the whole set. My question is, are there any other places that sells these wheels and how hard is it to do it myself. Looking at it, it seems like its only one nut to loosen to get access to the wheels.

    Thanks so much.

One nut to remove but the wheels can sometimes be quite stubborn to budge. You will need to calibrate the edger after replacing the wheels.

Fortunately your edger is very user repair friendly. Good luck, I'm sure you will do great.

I also found another site where they sell new wheels for Santinelli. They are called www.superabrasive.com and they are located in the U.S. However, the wheels come from Bulgaria (not sure if this is good or bad). The prices seem quite reasonable. I would be interested in knowing if others have used this group.
