POSITION: Ophthalmic Administrator Assistant– for Multi-Specialty Ophthalmology Practice with an emphasis on Retina and Cataracts treatment
REPORTS TO: Physicians/CEO
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for Ophthalmic Tech Training, Ophthalmology billing, (mostly Retina), front office and employee supervising, collections, foundations, weekly and monthly reports for each department, as well as patient scheduling.
We are a Multi-Specialty Ophthalmology practice with three locations in North Clearwater, St. Petersburg and New Port Richey Florida, who is seeking a professional that wants to be part of a fast growing company with excellent growth potential. Communication skills are vital as well as a highly motivated individual. Experience in Nextgen, for billing, coding and reporting is required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Candidate should have extensive hands-on experience and managerial experience within the healthcare industry Ophthalmology preferred
2. You should have at least 5-10 years of position related experience
3. The candidate should have a working knowledge of Ophthalmology coding, and negotiating health insurance contracts.
4. Extensive Ophthalmic Technician training and supervising experience
5. Strong computer skills are required; advance knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with a fully-integrated medical office software package is required
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Along with quantitative and analytical skills, the candidate must possess strong writing and communication skills
2. Familiarity with current CPT and ICD codes and laws
3. Hardworking, self-motivated, positive attitude, eagerness to grow
4. Understand Retina clinic flow and details of documentation in charts for audits
5. Reliable, passionate and eager to work for a business that offers growth for many years to come
