    Looking for ideas

I recently was told that I had to save all the edging for a former employee who left to be a stay at home mom. Since I was the only one that knew how to edge, I used to be pretty busy. Now that I'm not allowed to do that anymore, I find myself with nothing to do. Everything is ordered, insurances billed, patients have been helped, invoices filed, ect. I find myself not having anything to do and I'm actually just really bored. I know there is tons of files to scan into the computer, but with my ADHD, sitting down at a computer to scan files for 4-5 hours a day (I'm only part time now because I'm back in school) is not really possible. What are some things that everyone does when they are bored and seem to be caught up on work?

I also suffer from ADHD. When I run out of things to do, I clean, do recalls, and ask for projects. I cycle them as well, to not get bored. I refuse to clean for an hour straight, but 10 mins here, then 10 mins of recalls, and then 10 mins of miscellaneous projects etc. It's how I get through the boring days.
-Poly is the best substrate for coatings.
    -Poly is extremely scratch resistant.
    -Poly is extremely impact resistant.
    -Poly is unparalleled in clarity.
-Poly is much lighter than traditional crown glass.
Like poly, you can trust me about 40% of the time.

Continuing Education. Re-organizing frames. I also help do reminder calls for the dr's office. You can always call recent pickups and see how they are doing with their glasses...although that could be opening up a can of worms.

Avoiding what needs to be done is a full time job for me. Barely have time for anything else.

I wish our coworker was that ambitious! They literally sit at the desk on the computer - Facebook, You-Tube, - and watch the rest of us clean the store, do the filing, make client calls, etc. Some people are not very motivated at all.
    Good for you, bta89!

I do a lot of research (including but not limited to OB ) or I work on making new ways to track our surfacing lab's sales, redos, etc. There is no one whose job it is to do these things so I can easily spend a lot of time catching up from the last time I was able to work on such reports.

The research is more fun though. I try and discover frames that we should try and bring in, or cross-check new medical findings. Currently I am working on planning a large event that it taking up most of my down time.

There is always maintenance work for me to do out back.

There are always displays that need re-vamping or simply touching up out front.

My retail manager could probably use a hand with outside ordering or Eyemed payments.

...whew... The day sure flies by though!
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?

start tracking the QC of your different labs - if you can figure out which laps they're having the most off powers on, submit the report to them when it's done - then when finished ask them why they didn't do it.
