    varifocal lens markings

    Hi all,
Ordered a set of lenses but sent them back as the markings were for a more basic lens than I ordered
But they sent them back saying they are the correct lens but they put on the wrong markings
They changed them but at my cost!
Your thoughts would be much appreciated
    Thanks!
    Alan

As far as I know Markings don't work that way, what you see is what you get. I wouldn't trust that lab farther than I could throw them from now on.

100% agree with Tallboy. Notify the appropriate lens rep of this story. If s/he's worth his/her paycheck, you'll be getting some fast apologetic phone calls along with a credit for your 2nd lens pair.

If not, I would raise heck myself with the lab manager on up until you get a credit for the second PAL. If not, change labs. No kidding.

No part of your story is excusable and every patient within reach of that lab benefits from you going to the mat on this.

Thanks guys really appreciate your replies!!
Its an independent Who have these lenses from a major under a white label
Really curious if you know, is it possible to have a wrong marking on a lens ie is it lasered separately on a different machine? as they did say the lens was correct
(By the way the identification is a letter which was correct but just need the extra + symbol to say it was the better one...)
Will be phoning the rep on monday
    Cheers again!

    +1

Wait until you talk to someone you have rapport with. I've been very disturbed but what some customer service people will tell me only to find out it was their first day or something silly. I do agree that if they are unwilling to credit and explain the situation instead of being defensive than it is not a relationship worth keeping.
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?

If the markings were on the backside of the lens, meaning it was digitally surfaced from a SV blank and marked after, than it IS possible, but extremely unlikely. If your markings were on the front of the lens, then they are completely in the wrong and trying to cover their own butts.
