While Marlena and I were up at Page, AZ we discovered a couple of beautiful places that we had never heard of before. One of them was the Toadstool Hoodoos located in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument of Utah. Just about 25 miles west of Page on Highway 89 is the parking area for the trail to the Hoodoos. It's easy to miss and if you didn't know it was there, you'd almost certainly pass it by without a thought.
The trail itself is only about .75 miles long and travels through a wash and small canyon. It's not a difficult hike but it is fairly exposed so it's probably something you'd want to avoid during the middle of the day during summer. We went in the late afternoon and it was still pretty hot. But I'm very glad we did because the clouds in the sky were quite dramatic and were constantly changing so the lighting for photography was very good.
Here's one of the pictures.
