Medical Eyeglass Center

Good morning,

Medical Eyeglass Center is in the process of taking over management where I and many are employed. I don't have a good feeling about this. Is anybody familiar with them. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Are you still at this employer? How is MEC?

I worked for MEC for 2 years (length of contract with practice). Pay was above average but benefits were terrible. One thing to know - MEC requires practice to sign a one year non-compete clause regarding their employees. If practice and MEC don't renew contract (typically 2 years), you will not be able to work at that practice again for a year. I know this from personal experience.
