    Softchrome tinting for contact lens

Hi all, now that softchrome (tints for contact lens) has ceased to exist, where do you all get your tint supplies from?

We supply similar tints for soft lenses, the best replacements for the now obsolete Softchrome.

Hello, I need almost all solutions that I could buy back. The shelf life is not important. At the beginning I would like to buy 2 activator solutions and a few solutions of pigments, above all bronze, red and amber, these solutions are needed even yesterday ...
The next order is from 10 activator solutions and about 5 bottles of each color. Probably, I would also buy some 6 chambers 11.5mm; 6 chambers 5mm and maybe 4 chambers 3mm. These quantities can change (probably higher) everything will turn out as it comes with my return to action. Already half a year, people are calling for lenses and I am not able to do them for them. I do the basic colorless lenses but it is boring and not very beneficial. I have developed over 800 recipes for colors and have used a cheap and effective method of color selection, but all this experience and knowledge will go to waste if I do not start to make lenses again. I am willing to share knowledge for help, I can offer not only recipes but also dyeing technique and even computer automation. Everything can be achieved cheaply and what's more you can even do free shipments with samples even for research or color matching where the cost of such a set is about one dollar. I am open to suggestions.
Greetings and thank you everyone for your help.

Redhot Jumper Spectratint® allows the contact lens laboratory ...........................

    Just found this website:

Spectratint® allows the contact lens laboratory to supply high quality tinted lenses to the profession,

The dye is supplied as a solution, so there is no weighing out of dye powders to bedone. The simple spring loaded jigs are easy to use and the silicone rubber masks ensure that there is no damage caused to the lens surface.

When applied to the lens the dye enters the surface pores, and when treated with the developing agents, the colour required appears and the dye is locked into the lens surface. Once Developed, the colours are completely permanent and stable to all forms of lenscare treatment.

There Are two concentrations of dye, one for HEMA and one for high water content lenses; both dyes work without pre-swelling the lenses as required by other tinting systems. All the dyes are single colours, i.e.: the green dye is not a mixture of blue and yellow dyes as with other systems. This produces consistent colors across the range of hydrophilic materials.

Softchrome has been purchased by new owners and is available again

I know this is an older thread, but hopefully this will be helpful to someone. Softchrome was purchased by new owners and is available again, right now only the dyes and activator/neutralizing solutions are available but they are working on getting tools made as well. info@softchromeink.com is their email, www.softchromeink.com the website.
