We made one in 1984 and on, with Polysiloxanes, for application by a simple dip and resulting in a super slippery surface that let objects slide off instead of scratching.

The protective coating is the best way to protect lenses from uncertainties which cause damage to lenses. It's also a safe way to care the lenses for long period of time.
