Should get more details tomorrow after the market opens and the filings are made public.
It might be interesting as the new administration has indicated that they will tighten up on antitrust enforcement.
Holy Mary, Mother of God! This is some kind of early April fools joke, right? How would this possibly ever pass anti-trust scrutiny, anywhere, EU or US?
As has been famously said "Game over, man, Game OVER!"

The antichrist and the false prophet have appeared.
Saw this coming years ago when Lenscrafters started partnering with Essilor labs, then taking them over as part of their LOM strategy. Never thought this would pass antitrust watchdogs, though. Can anyone say RICO?
Over the years the Justice Department has put less and less emphasis on antitrust matters. This may change with the new administration. Then again, it may not. I will not hold my breath.
If Trump can't make money off of this, then maybe, just maybe, the Justice department will do something about it. No sense of anyone in our industry holding breath. I will continue to look for non-Essilor partners to conduct business with. We have already kicked LUX to the curb and stopped all business with them. We still use KbCO, but other than them, we have cut our ties with Essilor as well.
