    This is completely true. I worked at Eyemart in the beginning of my optical career and was constantly told I worked too slow. Guess who had the lowest redo rate!

    My point earlier simply was that they have the very same ABO certificate as you do, and their may well be even more talented dispensers working at the big box chains than we give proper credit for. But even so, rarely will a Costco client go to the optical specifically because they have certified dispensers on staff. And reality is that's not much different in private practice either.

    I'm sorry if I upset you - I would hire you in a second most likely if you lived near me, but the consumer in question and his concerns about his "barrel distortion" were not helped at that place and I am of the opinion that someone in that predicament would be much better served at a place like mine instead of down the aisles from the bulk frozen burritos. For those that don't suffer from "barrel distortion" and a "dispensary" that doesn't know how to deal with such a situation maybe they are satisfied at a place like that.
