    Resolution Lenses

Saw a targeted ad from this company in my facebook feed (creeps). Resolution lenses from PFO Global. They claim to be a thinner, distortion free polycarbonate. They might have said less expensive than regular poly.

Wondering if anyone has any feedback or experience with these lenses.

    Thanks

we've used them in the past. They are supposed to be thinner, less distortion, "better grade" poly. We never had any problems with them. I think the main reason we used them is they had a few more parameters than regular stock poly. They were a little higher cost, but minimal compared to surfacing.

Thankyou, doesn't sound like there's much of a pay off besides saving on surfacing.

Maybe new-old-stock. If finished, they're aspheric/atoric. Semi-finished might be front aspheric only, or spherical.

Quite helpful, did you actually remember that you commented on them 10 years ago? That's great.

Google search. The link I posted came up first.

As with all lenses, but especially with lenses with complex surface geometries, the OCs/pole should to be lowered .5mm below the corneal reflex for every one degree of panto tilt (or as recommended by the manufacturer).

Been using them for about 2 years...the AR is durable but very hard to clean. At the time we started using them the price was decent considering..but now getting a much better value with visionease stock.

Available in finished aspheric/atoric, with and without AR, and iBlu coating, and semi-finished spherical and aspheric. If you want/need to use a polycarbonate material, this is the product to use. Not the same as what (insert large retailer's name here) use, unlike other standard poly lenses, such as those mentioned above. A bit more expensive than regular poly, but not as expensive as Trivex. AND, you can drill these, unlike regular poly.

Poly haters (I know you're out there), give these a try.

Lab tests prove that old injection-molded technology used to make other polycarbonate lenses results in optical flaws, poor resolution, and power variations. Only RESOLUTION lenses use a patented process that results in an optically superior lens. You'll get the superior impact protection of polycarbonate plus the optics equivalent to glass lenses.
