    Techshield Blue vs Crizal Prevencia

As you may have already know, VSP/Sharper Image has recently released Techshield Blue as their newest AR product.

Main difference from previous Techshield? They removed the backside AR, but kept the UV.

Lenses-wise, Prevencia has a more pronounced purple reflection, whereas the Techshield Blue has a light blue reflection and our rep claims that it blocks more of the harmful blue light. However I am not so sure.

Should Crizal Prevencia still be considered one of the best AR's a patient can get? Or is Techshield Blue a just-as-good alternative?

What is best? Crizal Prevencia is not the best in my measurement stick. Paying for E to market to you.

My vote goes to Hoya Recharge for branded blue blocker coatings. We put it up against Prevencia when they were first both introduced and found that the hydrophobic layer was better on Recharge as well as the general approval of color being higher.

Haven't used Techshield Blue whereas we don't use VSP labs.
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?

Seconded. Recharge is the best HEV AR I've seen. I also like Zeiss's DuraVision Blue Protect, but not nearly as much. Prevencia looks yucky.
I'm Andrew Hamm and I approve this message.
