    Calculate the cutted lens Edge thickness

    I try to make one formula for Calculating the cutted lens Edge thickness. and Made one according to Spex and Darry forum. But I find that the formula are correct for negtive lens, but not for positive lens.

    Thickness= [(1/2*Diameter)^2*Power / [2000*(Index - 1)]] + edge/center thickness

    Lens Thickness Calculation

    Lens Width mm 50
    Bridge mm 18
    Both PD mm 68
    Valided Diameter mm 52
    Index 1.5
    Sph 3.25
    Cyl 1
    MinCT Negtive Lens mm 1
    MinET Positive mm 1
    Negtive Lens thickness at 180°mm 3.197
    Positive Lens thickness at 180°mm 3.197
