If the dual camera is in fact a real feature, it will be a heck of lot easier to get PDs and seg heights.
Anyone hear anything about this?

I hadn't heard anything before this, but as the article states, phone cameras are really getting up there in terms of quality. The idea of online refractions and even doctor visits are a testament to where our priorities are shifting- convenience over accuracy. I didn't even like using the OptiCam that Hoya uses. We changed all the seg heights even though it was supposedly so super accurate.
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?
Depends on what kind of cameras they use the LG G5 was the first flagship smart phone and the reviews are not the best for accuracy of distances: http://www.techinsider.io/why-the-lg...-is-bad-2016-4
As the article says the pictures would be better with a narrower angle lens but that would require increasing the vertex distance of the 2nd camera which is not going to feel good in the pocket. And the goal of most flagship phones right now is the minimize the depth of the phone, so I doubt the going to increase the accuracy of measuring a PD vs. a good quality single lens (using most online directions).
I have an LG G3 and the slim profile I hardly feel in my pocket combined with large screen for my big hands is awesome. Much more important than dual cameras.
