Most companies who offer digital/ freeform surfacing will offer education on what makes it better than conventional processing. In a nutshell, it all comes down to programming in combination with diamond bit grinding. The diamond bit is more precise and the programming will generally involve compensating the prescription to better fit the patient in their frame of choice. This takes in to account panto, vertex, and base curve of the frame. The result will be lesser distortion on the peripheral as well as in depth perception.
If you go to the individual websites for the different manufacturers you will find more personalized details about the process per company. I hope this helps
Have I told you today how much I hate poly?
Comparing can often be difficult, as companies will often have their own buzzwords to describe something, or will have something that sounds similar, but is actually completely different.
