    BIG frames?

I have a patient who is wearing a Marchon aviator (66 Eye) that is too small for him. Yes, his head is larger than most. I estimate that he will need a 69 eye with 18 bridge. Any ideas? Already tried the major vendors. Might be a specialty item.

Put him in a pair of monocles. Problem solved. You're welcome!

I know there are some vendors able to do made to order. EDA (Eyewear Design Alliance) will do custom zyl. It takes 4-6 weeks to receive though : /

Another option would be a rimless, then you could make it any size necessary.

Howard, is the frame a 69 or 70? He is currently wearing a 66 with an 18 bridge, and it is too small.

Chris, thanks for the tip on Fatheads. Looks like they stall out around a 66.

    +1 for this LOL

My dad is a similar size and the only frame I found comfortably for him was the 7581 Silhouette model, 21 DBL, 160mm temple length.

Thanks for all the help. I think the only solution (besides monocles) is the rimless, and he wants an aviator. Gonna let him shop around.

Aviator style lenses on rimless are quite common especially in the Oakley and Maui lines (Sugar Beach).
I don't see how a clear RX lens would be any different unless the RX is extremely strong or high in cyl.....

We might have a frame that might work for your patient at Reptile Sunglasses. It's the Pecos and is a 67 eye, 15 bridge and fits wide. It is an aviator type shape so feel free to check us out at reptilesun.com Thanks. We do offer frame only's.
