    Maui Jim Light Transmission Info

    Just in case people find it useful (opticians and consumers alike), I thought I'd share this.

    On the same note, here are the clarities (higher number= more clarity)

    Super thin glass 58
    Maui Brilliant 56
    Maui Pure 52
    Maui Evolution 43
    Poly carbonate 30

    Hmm. Not sure I understand this chart. It appears that it shows Evolution HT gradient almost 10% darker than grey ST glass.

    Huh. The grey glass was the original MJ lens developed by Jim Richards.

    Please define "clarity". You've posted what appears to be nothing more than Abbe values of different materials. If you're trying to equate chromatic aberration in plano lens materials as being somehow easily perceptible to the eye across different materials, please link to the white paper, and/or double blind studies showing this to be the case. I can find none. I thought Maui was a bit better than this...

    Maui Evolution is trivex like material. No idea what Maui Pure and Maui Brilliant are. Don't understand either.
